Currently in Zürich, Switzerland

I’m a Mechatronics Engineering student at UTEC (Lima, Peru), currently a Robotics Student Fellow at the Robotic Systems Lab, ETH Zürich, doing legged robotics research with the RSL team.

My work sits at the intersection of legged robotics, sim-to-real reinforcement learning, and low-cost hardware. Before ETH, I led FreeWheels, an intuitive-control wheelchair for athletes that won 2nd place at IROS 2025 (China), and I currently lead the LÁK Biped project at IEEE Robotics & Automation Society UTEC, a bipedal robot inspired by Disney’s BDX robot.

I care about making legged robotics research more accessible from Latin America — building capable robots on modest budgets, and closing the sim-to-real gap so research done on cheap hardware still transfers. That’s the direction I want my graduate research to take.

Reach out if you’re working on legged locomotion, sim-to-real RL, or open, low-cost robotics platforms — always happy to talk shop.
